A. Yes our slim Cat6a patch cables are 30AWG 10Gigabit (Cat6a) and are designed to work with PoE+. They have a shielded plug and use a 50u micron gold crimp to ensure perfect end to end performance.
A. These Cat6a patch cables are around 30-40% smaller in diameter than our standard Cat6a patch cables. This means they use much less rack space, resulting in reduced cable management products, improved airflow and cooling and lower energy costs. It's reduced slim diameter creates a far more flexible patch cable, compared to traditional Cat6a patch cables that tends to be very rigid and less malleable.

A. No, we decided to offer a future proof solution so have standardised on the Cat6a option. This is fully compatible with Cat6 cabling systems but has the added benefit of being 10Gigabit ready, a shielded connector and a Snagless protective boot for high density patching.

A. We have standardise on a 30AWG small diameter cable type. This provides the reduced diameter, but without compromising on quality. This is slightly smaller than the 28AWG small diameter cable that is used by Panduit for their small diameter patch cords and the Blackbox Slim-Net patch cable range.
A. These Slim Cat6a Patch Cables are available in 10 lengths. 0.25, 0.30, 0.50, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0 & 5.0 Metre sizes.
A. The maximum Cat6a patch cable length available is 5 Metres. These slim patch cables are designed for patching within server racks and cabinets, between patch panels and active equipment. Due to their reduced diameter, less raw materials are used in the manufacturing process, therefore to ensure that there is no loss on performance in its conductivity we have limited the design to 5 Metre. Longer lengths are available in our standard Cat6a F-STP patch cables.

A. To reduce the environmental impact there is no individual plastic packaging around each cable. The cable is also loosely coiled with just a single tie wrap to ensure a quick and easy installation. Full boxed quantities are available for each of the 10 colours and sizes.
